By law, we are required that for pharmacy only medicines from our website we ask for additional information to ensure that our pharmacists can check that the medicine is suitable for you to use. This is also to ensure your safety.

For patients using our NHS Prescription and repeat prescription service we will need to know whether you pay for your NHS prescriptions and if not the reason that you are exempt from payment (akin to the back of the traditional green prescription form). We also collect information about your existing medical conditions and any other prescription medication that have been or currently are prescribed for you by your doctor. Our systems will store the details of all medicines and products that we have supplied to you on either an acute or repeat basis.

Your Rights
We comply with the NHS Code of Practice on Confidentiality and pharmacists have a requirement under their professional Code of Ethics to keep records about you confidential, secure and accurate. You also have the right to confidentiality under the Data Protection Act 1998, the Human Rights Act 1998 and the common law duty of confidence. In addition, all of our staff are legally contracted to keep patient information confidential.
